Scott Air Force Base
Well here I am after 15 years! The base has'nt changed much and I have alot of memories of the base and area from flying "Space Available" hops. The trip to Minnesota was long last week but enjoyable as I listened to the Bible and Christian radio.Arriving Sat.nite I drove right to St.Therese in Crystal but Dad was at Steph and Joe's house with Tom and Roxana.I was overjoyed to see my 2 sons that evening and also the following afternoon. On Sunday I had a wonderful time re-connecting with Straitgate church. There are so many Christ-like Christian's there who love and serve the Lord.In the afternoon with my sons we played, prayed and reaquainted ourselves with each other. They are nice boys but I can see they will NOT stay that way as teens because they are being fed an evil diet of the World in their house and at the public school.Notice I did not write "home" but "house"It is so sad and tragic that their mother does'nt believe in the Christian husband/father as the "high priest" of his home.I would have thought that all those years studying the Bible and Judaism she would have seen the man's role as leader and submitted to that role as God's Word's commands[Eph.5;Tit.2:4,5].Even Sarah called Abraham "lord." It is apparent that the atheistic humanism of her past life has resurfaced by her invitation. All I can do is pray and that God would hedge her way with thorns[Hos.2:6]and discipline her in such a way that she would repent.Well, here I am at the base library.I just had my favorite meal at the dining hall;baked fish with rice&veg.,Oh!It was good! There's much more I want to write but must close. The big news now is that I cannot seem to get a flight out of ScottAFB and after praying about it,I've decided to drive back to Indiana and help Sunday with the base bus ministry picking up soldiers for church.Sunday pm service I might visit Pastor Marc Monte's church in Indy and then drive north and be a nomadic tourist as the Lord leads.Tomorrow I hope to leave early and stop at Abraham Lincoln's boyhood home in So.Indiana, then on to the monastery of St.Meinrad and then back to good old Camp Atterbury!!!I plan to write much more about meeting Randy MacDonald and Col.Tyler Ryberg and learning more about the ministry of "Worldwide Baptist Military Missions"
