Summer 2005
Well, I certainly have been behind on my diary as it is now Sept6.I have a 2 days off and so will try to give a summary even though I have a cold.First, what will be most memorable about this summer and year is that my dear Mother died[July1].I took emergency leave to be at the funeral in Minneapolis and also be with my family.It really is so very sorrowful and I could write for many pages, but life must go on.Here at the army base we've been very busy with processing new soldiers coming and going.I am grateful to God for a good job that has many benefits.After work I do the usual amount of several hours reading per day, but always make sure the Bible and prayer come first.Two weeks ago I had a wonderful time at the Indiana State Fair. It was very impressive and I believe it was actually better then Minnesota's State Fair.Last month[Aug.6]was very special with Pastor and Mrs.Campbell's youngest son,Trent, marrying an Indiana young lady,Ruth Solarek.I thoroughly enjoyed the wedding,reception and fellowship.
