Quiet Night
Good day today.I have tomorrow off and so I'd better get my car looked at[knocking noise;need oil change].I'll come in tomorrow to help where I can though.Duty days have been great!1.The TV is often on here to entertain processing soldiers.The last couple hours,"The Longest Day" was showing.I read the book by Cornelius Ryan and saw the movie several times but I put some paper work on a table and worked and watched it again.I am proud that my Dad served in WWII and of course proud to be an American and on the side of the just.The movie always reminds me of the tremendous sacrifices made for our freedom.It's definitely a reminder to Christians to be grateful for Jesus' perfect/complete sacrifice on the cross for our sins.We need to show this with our lives-Galatians2:20.2.A short rain shower cooled the base a bit.Glad for my tomatos.3.Johnson Cty Fair is going on-I might go tomorrow.4.Seth and family will come again to base this weekend.5.More reading and plans6.Running in the mornings has really helped me and I've lost weight[but not nearly enough!].Praying-thinking-reading the Word!
