Fall Weather
Cooler weather now, rain and even a tornado this past weekend in the area! The tornado touched down briefly but a 10 yr old girl was killed and some homes destroyed.1.Routine with work and looking for a better job.2.Sat.spent quality time with my sons.Weather cleared in the a.m.and it turned into a beautiful, early Fall day! We played by some soccer matches, had lunch and then went swimming.A real good time, but I long for them to behave better!3.Drove that nite to SunnyFresh in Monticello to work 8 hrs til 0600.It went well, but sadly I was too tired for the a.m.services.Many children came to church too as they had a special "Banana-split" promotion. In the pm service I gave a testimony-summary of my 2 years Army service. As always, Pastor Magnuson gave a great msg from Prov.22:1-5.4.Mon.I drove Dr.and Mrs.Buck up to St.Cloud for the Bible Institute at the church.Mrs.Campbell had a very nice meal for us and the fellowship was great.5.Still going to the VA office and looking for a better job.

Routine
Life is now another routine back here in Mpls,MN.Weather is now much cooler[50's,F].Working all nite really drains my body;causing constant fatigue, depression and sometimes irritablity.1.Looking for better work-trying!2.Usual reading and listening to Christian radio and BBC on npr.3.Spending time with Dad.4.Army Reserve in Rochester this past weekend. It went well.5.The last day of the Fair[Labor Day]I took my sons and we had alot of fun together. However,I am so concerned with their love of this World[Jas.4:4]!6.Campbell's came on Mon.nite.It was great to see them and so encouraging to see their dedicated walk with the Lord. They were on their way down for a Pastor's fellowship dinner at Fellowship Baptist.Just hoping and praying continually!

Rainy Saturday
Things are OK.Working nites alone at the airport gives me opportunities to think, pray, plan, read and listen to Christian radio. The air becomes comfortable and cool at nite, but no need yet for a jacket. When I get back to my place it's often difficult to sleep during the day,but I'm adjusting.Yesterday was very special as I took my Dad out to dinner at Perkins[family restaurant]in Crystal. It was only a block away from where his former Doctor's office was.How I long for those days with our family!St.Raphael's is closeby too where I went to school.Anyway,it was very special as I asked Dad more detailed questions of how he grew up on his family farm in NE Iowa in a German-Catholic community. His own father came from a family of 17 children[3 died in infancy].I'd like to hear more about my Dad's mother as I understand she was a quiet, pious and hard-working woman.Excellent qualities!I really hope to get much of my Dad's life recorded for posterity.Tonite I have to work again[although I'm supposed to be off because of church tomorrow].Labor Day I hope to see my sons and take them to the State Fair.Thinking-Heb.10:35,36 and Isa.41:10
