Late Sun.nite
Just a brief entry to say that it was good to have the weekend off. I did alot of packing and sorting.i hope to get even more done soon. It's amazing what a "Pack Rat" I am! The main thing is I just need to get organized. I suppose this was one of the big factors that caused Renee to divorce me. How I would have longed for her just to understand me and to communicate with me rather then just condemn me as she did. Even though it may not be popular, stuff can be stored and used effectively when done properly. It can also save time and money.Well,I'll read more by Herr Speer and then turn in.

Where does the time go?
It's amazing how we can set goals and yet so little of what we want done is done!1.Up at 0600.Promises from God's Word: faith in Him brings His blessings!2.Helped alittle on my day off here at #333.3.Called my sons.I asked their Mother if I could talk to her but as usual she hung up. I had to call again and talked with Peter and D'vid. They seemed fine; but their lives are focused on the World.4.Various stages of packing, working on computor, and trying to sort and go thru some books,etc.5.Very hot and humid today. In Mpls,MN there was a heat advisory w/ temps up to 100F!6.Mastering the technique of cutting my own hair.I like it trimmed every 2 wks so it looks sharp.I have electric clippers that I can use with the aid of a mirror. This can save me about 30.00$ per month.7.Looking forward to Sunday!Praise the Lord!

Duty Tonite
Bldg.333 is full of soldiers. They're waiting and watching the news.I'm grateful that I have the weekend off.I hope to be productive.1.More rain the last few days[off and on].Very humid out.2.Made some calls to Minn.I'm hoping to get a better job when I return but it does'nt look good.3.Making alot of progress reading "Inside the Third Reich." I hope to make notes.Speer's writing style with his first hand observations makes it excellent reading.4.Usual probs in Middle East but the last couple weeks Israel and Hezbulah stationed in Lebanon have been in open conflict. Many have died.

300 mile round trip!!!
That's right,I drove 300 miles yesterday!Tonite's my last day of the 4 day pass.I actually hung around base for most of it.I even did some volunteer work around the medical SRP.It's late and I need to turn in.I tried calling my sons about 8:30pm but there was no answer.Tomorrow is the 5th anniversary of when she divorced me.She has absolutely no shame over the evil she has done.Although I still love her and told her so via voice mail.I talked to my Dad and that was a comfort.I'll look forward to spending quality time with him beginning next month.1.Yesterday,I started about 0800 for Ohio and arrived at the huge US Air Force Museum about 1100. I was there last April but I did'nt cover it all then. I really had a nice time! The drive was pretty and I listened to Bible tapes.2.The Museum is in the shape of 3 huge hangers connected. They have an IMAX Theater, gift shop, outdoor displays, another hanger with Presidential planes and a beautiful, well maintained Memorial Park with all kinds of plaques on granite that commemorate various AF units.Of course,I thought of my Dad and looked for the 384th Bomb Group where he served as a pilot.3.I walked and drank it all in.How I longed for my sons to be with me!4.It was a great time to think and meditate. So many heroes were honored there too[rightly so!].5.Mailed box with personal letters and books to Col.Nicholson[USMC]in Iraq.6.Nice time at church.Msg-"Dangers of Hardening Your Heart."Must turn in!Tired!

Things to do
How I long to be more productive in my life!It seems like time just flies.1.Up before 0500[only 4 hrs sleep!].PT-jogged 2 mi.2.Paperwork and plans.Letters box ready to be sent to Col.L.D.Nicholson with the 1st Marine MEF in Iraq.3.Finally took my car in to Wal-Mart auto.Did some shopping.Found a real bargain at "The DollarTree" with Bible CD's!!! I was so glad. Now I can listen to the Bible more as I drive and from different books.4.Talked with Scott Henry briefly from New Life Baptist re: improving my web.5.Franklin Library for 2 hours[read interesting album on T.E.Lawrence[of Arabia].Very interesting.I read about his life before and his book,"Seven Pillars of Wisdom."6.Back to base.Bicycled around.Met some soldiers from the Boston area and had a pleasant visit.Very tactfully I talked to them about their need for Christ and that salvation is only thru Him[John14:6].They were in a smoking pavillion and I did not push anything on them.In fact we talked about many thing and since Europe is there detination, I shared with them about my many years there.I rejoice now that they have heard the good news that,"...the gift of God is eternal life thru Jesus Christ our Lord[Rom.6:23b]!Good Night!
