New Month and Winter Coming on
All is well with.Nightly, I am able to relax in my cozy little room, read and relax. This time of year I often listen to Christmas music on tape.I really love Christmas songs and carols and I am reminded of the many happy and wonderful family Christmases I had growing up.Today we were very busy de-moblizing 2-3 units coming back from Iraq. I remember many from a year ago that we had mobilized! They were all relieved to be back and it's a privilage to serve them and others.During a lull this afternoon I was surprized by a phone call from my Dad wishing mew well! It was great to hear from him and I am thankful to God for such a good father. He is now 82.Thanksgiving was very good. I spent it here on base and it was so very peaceful. The dining hall put on an excellent traditional Thanksgiving meal. I pretty much walked, exercised, prayed and read. I intended to accept a Thanksgiving invitation to a home in the country where families from New Life Baptist met, but for some reason I called to express regret about not making it. In the future I hope to visit as I love homes out in the country.Dec.will be a busy month but toward the end it should slow down and then I will look forward to a short trip back to my hometown of Minneapolis.
