Late Friday nite
I listened to some sermons tonite,read the Bible and prayed.1.Planted some flowers and tomato plants this week.2.My friend from Straitgate Church,Cmdr.Eric Wills returned with his group from "somewhere" overseas[have to be careful!].It was really good to be with Eric.We went to church together Wed.nite and it was a blessing to introduce him to others as he is a genuinely friendly man who cares about people.Eric left today and will soon be re-united with his wife Kelly and 5 sons.3.June19-My Dad's 83rd birthday!What a great Dad[and Mom too]God has given me.I call him regularly.His Alzheimer's is not that bad[yet].4.I have put my recent problems in God's hands.I've prayed with others.Just tonite,Col.Tyler Ryberg[USMC,ret.] called me and we had a nice fellowship and prayer time.He is Director of Armed Forces Baptist Missions.5.Usual reading.Put on the new Army ACU uniform today.Quite a change from the BDU!It almost feels like I am in a new Army.6.Looking forward to this weekend to get outside for biking and excercise.God is good to me all the time! Whatever problems or difficulties can always be stepping stones to success and other blessings[Rom.8:28].
