Extended Orders
New month and new orders for 6 more monthes.Even though I am so lonely here[at times]and miss my sons,these orders are God's blessings for me.With 2 full years of active duty I could be eligible for the G.I.Bill to complete my college ed.,and Lord willing be back in some kind of full-time ministry.This winter has been very mild and rather nice.The hot tea I enjoy in the morning makes it even better.I also thank God for evangelism and visitation opportunities here on base and a van ministry to church.I can't go into alot of detail because of Army Command monitoring what I write.As usual,my desire is to educate myself and so I have been doing alot of reading[history and biography].I recently finished Gen.Omar Bradley's second book,"A General's Life" and thoroughly enjoyed it! Much more detail and improvement from his first book,"A Soldier's Story." How I would love to write in detail about it and even discuss what I read with someone interested in military history,but alas,there is no one here.Still,solitude with the Lord learning His Word and history can lead to preparation for a higher calling.Something I pray for daily.
