New Year
Again, I am so late with my diary.1]Christmas vacation went very well with seeing family members and relaxing with time off.So often,I feel such sorrow when I realize that my two precious sons are growing up without their Daddy and they are not receiving Biblical,Christ-honoring training in the home. All I can do is turn to the Lord and pray for His intercession. How I long to be In God's service full-time again.I went to 3 churches during my 4 day weekend in Mpls.I especially enjoyed reconnecting with Straitgate Church and so much enjoyed Pastor Magnuson's Christmas message on Christ being the "Breaker"[Micah2:13].There is so much Christian wisdom[Prov.4:7]that flows from this man!How thankful I am to benefit from his ministry.2]The 1300 mile round trip was very exhausting! At least I was able to benefit from Christian radio stations and listen to the Bible on CD.Dec.23 going to Mpls was very memorable! It was about 0500,I was pulling into a rest stop near Menomonee,Wis., and as I was coming to the "Y" to turn right or left my car would not break on the ice.I almost hit the back of a semi-trailer then slid down the shallow bank and knocked over a sign.I was so grateful my car was not damaged! I praised and thanked God.Within 10 minutes a "Good Samaritan" came by and helped me out of the ditch. As I thanked him I asked about his soul, he said he was saved and a Baptist!I continued on my way joyfully realizing that God spared me from a serious accident that could have cost much time and money.3]There is much more to write! Life at Camp Atterbury is often hard work and loneliness, but I do have a sense of accomplishment and purpose here. Most important though is I want my life to count for God!
