Quiet Sunday Morning
Got up early as usual.I hope to visit a church in Indianapolis this a.m.Yesterday went so fast. Not very much work accomplished.1.Skimmed some history books.2.BBC and FFF message boards[in touch with Dr.Cassidy again from San Diego].3.Watched some programs on the "History" Channel. I generally avoid TV and I will not own one[ever].4.Biked late before sunset. At least I got some exercise.A country-western music band was playing at the near-by Johnson Cty park.I am not fond of that kind of music but there was something nice about fellow Americans being able to gather in peace and enjoy themselves out-doors on a Sat.nite.There were families, etc.I thought of the last chapter of "The Bridges of Toko-Ri" and how Mitchener portrayed LT Harry Brubaker's last moments as life on the other side of the world in the USA went on without people caring. And in turn I thought and prayed for those carrying on for our country on the otherside of the world.
