I'm in "good old Bldg333" helping monitor soldiers watching a movie.I've grown to love this old WWII bldg! So many memories here.
1.Con't hot weather.Tolerable.I don't mind too much and I thank God for aircon. I've thought about volunteering for Iraq in the future but I realize that it's much hotter then this. However,it might work out to be part of one of the larger hospitals there that have regular aircon.2.Currently busy with processing this week.3.Still reading a number of books.Recently skimming thru Dr."Henry the K" Kissinger's biography. Interesting.4.Running/jogging early.5.Hoping to get a better job when I return to Mpls, but prospects don't seem bright. My old company told me that their current accounts do not pay so much as the one I left 2 years ago.6.Talked with Pastor Roger Magnuson not long ago and I asked him toward the end if he would pray in Swedish; he did! It was nice to hear.7.Straitgate Church is having "Family Camp" at Chetek Baptist Assembly Camp at exactly the time I get out[de-mob]! That's something to really look forward to.I've enjoyed 2 other family camps with the church before since I first got involved with them and have really been blessed. How I would long for my own family to be with me!8.Recently,I found out about a former medical colleague[civilian] who had married a soldier last summer after a short courtship, has divorced him.It was her 3rd husband! It's so sad.Well, I did'nt say any names and she's not employed here anymore. It's just another example of our times[IITim.3].I ask the mother of my two precious sons: what about vows? What about faithfulness to God and obedience to His Word[Luke6:46;11:28]? She has not answered truthfully.
Daily Light and my personal time with God are so comforting! Many more blessings too.
