Bastille Day!
Voila! Un jour de mon pais d'paitre! Vive la France!I wonder what my great ancester Godafroi de Bullione would say of me?Probably nothing very complimentary.Well, the French have a saying,"He who boasts of his ancestry is like the potatoe;the better part of him is underground." Certainly,I am glad that my French,German and Irish ancesters emigrated to the USA. And I am very glad that I am saved and have Heaven as my home!1.Another PT test this a.m.Ran the 2 mile in just over 19min.,but need to get under that!2.Good day overall with med processing.3.Had dinner with 2 chaplains and assistent.Good theological discussions.Very enjoyable.4.News Hour tonite[Jim Leherer]was very sobering with the violence of the Middle East and Russia's rise again to autocratic power. The great oil reserves of Russia will make them richer.Pres.Putin has suppressed the free press and much individual freedoms in Rus. One man that was interviewed said,"Russia is a Nuclear-Petroleum super power..." I believe he's right. What will they do with this power is the big question and what will it mean for the USA? Just in summary, I want to be a good steward of whatever time I have for the Lord.Closing-Pastor Roger Magnuson just called! A very dear man of God who truly loves the Lord and has been such a blessing to me.We visited and I informed him my tour will be up and that my request for an extension has been denied.I'm very pleased that my release from Camp Atterbury will coincide directly with Straitgate Church Family Camp at Camp Chetek,Wisconsin! It's a wonderful beautiful camp with many happy memories for me.As we closed our converstation I asked,"Pastor, could you pray in Swedish?" He did! It was nice to hear that language in prayer.Time for bed!Gud Nacht!
